Overgeared (2026 Anime Series)

Overgeared (2026) is a Japanese TV anime adaptation of the South Korean web novel/webtoon, produced by J.C.STAFF and directed by Ayako Kono. The story centers on Shin Youngwoo, a down‑on‑his‑luck gamer known in‑game as Grid, who is mediocre at the ultra‑popular VRMMORPG Satisfy. His fortunes flip when he completes a hidden S‑rank quest and obtains a legendary blacksmith’s tome, earning the rare class “Pagma’s Successor.” The catch: activating it resets all his levels to 1. From there, Grid must rebuild from scratch, leveraging his unique crafting abilities to forge overpowered gear, recruit allies, and survive in a world where equipment often decides battles while his rising legend attracts both admiration and dangerous attention .
